Salem herself strongly and accurately reminds me of Makuta Teridax from the Bionicle Gen 1 trilogy, except she has a toxic,cold,careful,and selective, proportionally codified combination  of Makuta Teridax, Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker), Kylo Ren(Ben Solo), Bane (acted by Tom Hardy from the Dark Knight), The Joker (acted by Heath Ledger also from the Dark Knight, since other Jokers aren't going to have selective,codified,self-controlled or disciplined Psychotic behavior as Heath's Joker.) Megatron from Transformers, and finally, Full Frontal (clone of Char Aznable from the Unicorn Gundam. Since he has a strong sense of politics and has a point of view which makes his ideals sound like has if the grave mind from Halo had Mutated his noble cause into pure insanity and madness, and became the very thing he swore to destroy.)

Anyway I hope that there is a hidden main-protagonist-hero who has the capability to rival Salem and ultimately in the very end itself stop Salem to restore balance to light and dark,chaos and order, peace and war, life and death, hope and fear, and ultimately eliminate evil itself for good. (not Ozpin,Ruby Rose, Oscar Pine...probably but not enough to end Salem's life.) an complete opposite of lawful (or necessary evil),Psychotic,Toxic,and cold personality,point of view,philosophy,ethics, code,law, etc. 

A Great Spirit or "Mata Nui" (it's great spirit in Maori) entity that is considered RWBY's version God or the Lord who has the same ideology as the .Christian and Jewish religious ethics and Lawful good (and true and pure necessary good). 
I hope Rooster Teeth consider this idea based on how Salem's reign of Shadows can be purified for good and bring balance to the RWBY universe.
