EXACTLY!
I can say that I get a decent amount of comments but a whole other chunk of my watchers never say anything. And some have been following me since I joined a year ago.
It’s extremely frustrating!
And they claim to be such a big fan of your work but NEVER show they mean this. A simple compliment can really make an artists day.
I’ve really been down about this lately.
I just don’t get why people have to ALWAYS be silent . We don’t bite lmao

in a way, i relate to both wanting comments, and not commenting
half the time, i'll type a comment over and over, but then give and post nothing out embarrassment...
though if i can think of something constructive, i do try to say it, because that's what i would want someone to do for me.

Yeah, or rather.. Instead of just leaving an "awesome art!"-comment, why not actually write what you like about the drawing? "Love the smoothness of the colors", "great composition" - even something as simple as that is so much more helpful for the artist.

Yeah, sadly people are either afraid to give feedback or don't know how to do it. "Awesome art" is not feedback, even if I'm happy that people like what I do.
