Yo, Happy (late) Halloween!
October was another busy month for me so I wasn’t able to put time towards making something for the holiday itself on time , additionally it takes quite a bit of patience to draw on my phone period sO y’know, doing what I can X’D but here’s my contribution to the holiday anyhow-

Hiro and Kiome, dressed as the infamous Ghostface and Jason Voorhees respectively.
Because I thought it’d be a fun idea to have ‘em basically cosplay some slashers I felt fit them for one reason or another
body types being a big fun one of those reasons X’D Kiome and Jason being buff and clunky n’ Hiro and ghostface being short and lanky, (referring to Billy Loomis ghostface from the original scream).
also just a well known fact machetes and Dominicans go hand n’ hand
This was alsoooo partly inspired by dead by daylight and Friday the 13th the video game lmao because they’re dope games what can I say. XP

so call me biased but I peg Hiro with the same “go hard or go home” energy I have in regards to Halloween costuming, like if you’re gonna put on a get up you might aswell make it a damn good one XD
and with his established artistic ability and interest in the fun of the spooky season, I don’t think it’s a far fetched idea for him to string Kiome along into putting their own costumes together by hand for the real authentic look of a couple of grungy killers, as opposed to the factory produced, airbrushed, kind of hard to believe stuff you find in stores.
I feel like they’d find clever ways to weather and tear their own clothing (as if half of Kiome’s wardrobe isn’t like that already from how she scrapes herself up XD) n’ have a field day messing around slinging fake blood and fabric paint at each other.
And yes while the flowing mane of hair is a bit of staggering inaccuracy, there was just no realistic way to get all those curls under wraps, I’m telling you, they tried, you can braid it and stuff it down the back of her shirt sure but that’s just too much heat and weight to be walking around with with all these layers X’D
which Hiro can agree on and joins in the protest by leaving his fluff to the wind aswell.
(Though it was also a bit of an artistic choice to further get accross the features of the characters under the masks XP)

And unlike Christmas, Kiome actually has taken part in celebrating Halloween in the past, mainly for two ehem, ‘short’ reasons you may find out about one of these days- *coughlongoverdueforshadowing!?cough* bUt so since it’s up her ally Hiro takes full advantage with a little inspiration from a few very retro movie nights and it’s decide they’re gonna bring an unlikely murder tag team to life for the holiday XD
And thus here we are~

But so, why “Hamakiri street”?
WELL here’s where I get to dip into my arguably obsessive cannon knowledge on this fictional universe but I’ll keep it short :’D if I’m not mistaken, market street in San Francisco is host to a variety of festivals and city events now and again, as well as a big of a tourist attraction with the trolleys of course, so I would imagine San Fransokyo’s counter part ‘Hamakiri street’ would presumably have a similar deal-
And perhaps Hiro might coax his tall antisocial friend here to accompany him to a few of these events,
Like this Hallow’s eve one for example! X’D see where I’m headed?

The ideas that they put on some rad costumes and get some rad attention for it, whether that part was intended or not eH.. ask Hiro XD
But it’s a fun night of running around like two goofball kids and giving some friendly scares n’ photo ops to their fellow attendees.

WELL I’ve been inactive forever so I’m trying to make up for it while my creative juices are still flowing alright? Give ya girl a chance to write I beg you. ;w;

FRED-
Seeing as he’s apparently no stranger to oldschool pop-culture and the horror scene, I think he’d be pretty stoked at his bud’s homage style costumes and insist on getting some sick™️ action shots of the duo, this piece being one of the products of said notion and Fred being well...Fred and his delightful caliber of creative-but-not, dubs them the “Hamakiri street slashers”.👌
Which they roll with. XD
