The new kennel girl didn't know that her employers fancied her calm manner and productive personality very much. In fact they liked it so much that they decided she would make an excellent addition to their kennel and pedigree newfoundland dog. She was drugged and then injected with a genetically engineered cocktail designed to make her an more or less flawless newfoundland dog. The change took no more then a week and was relatively painless. She would live as long as a human and keep most of her intelligence. However her brain was programed by the cocktail to start rewire itself. she was placed among "real" dogs to learn canine behavior since her brain would suck up their behavior like sponge because of the brain being rewired. After a few months only an expert could tell that her behavior was "special" even more special then being just being a smart very dog. Despite this they were very careful not to let anyone handle her.
