Hey! The reason show sucks has nothing to do with Lucy lu being Asian shes a good actor and it can be over looked. There are 500 other reasons the show sucks. And let's be clear is DOES suck.

ELEMENTARY SUCKS.

I'm usually not biased for judging a series, but with that one...

God, I didn't even survive all of the first episode, it was just so bad.

And Lucy Liu can't act!

Also, don't make Sherlock take of his shirt (for no good reason) if he's not hot under it!

And what kind of clues did he find? Seriously? "The room was symetrical, except for that tiny missing object"?

Who even decorates their room like that?

Ha! I saw this elementary-show-thing only 30 minutes ago and I was screaming "boooooooooooo"!
Sad but true, this show is really lame.
And the saddest thing: Luci Liu is a good actress, far to good for this crap... -.-

not only Jawn is a women, but also Lucy Liu acts like she's a tree who doesn't have any face. Her performance in this show is so bad, i haven't even recognised it's her (and i used to think she is pretty).
Clothes characters wear in the show are a pain too.. Joan is dressed terribly, and Sherlock wears jawn-like jumpers but without this essentional John-cuteness -.-
And Elementary Sherlock's flat doesn't create any feels, which 221b Baker Street was so full of.
Basicly, the best actors (or better say - the only good thing) in whole show are Sherlock's bees.

I saw the first Elementary, and it had the whole "missing phone" and "bored" thing,

so it was a copy off of the BBC Sherlock show, except for the fact that it completely sucked.

Wow. Really not feeling the love here. Her name is Joan. They are iterating The cannon in a parallel universe. Like its that same "John soul" but with different life experiences. It was only a 50% chance anyway that John would be a man or a woman. She would have a completely different life experience. The loyalty is there, we see that, along with bravery, tenacity, stubborn-ness and a quiet intelligence. At Heart, she really is a Watson. She would follow Sherlock anywhere. Well, anywhere her PMS and grief will allow her.

Honestly the major reasons I dislike "Elementary" before even watching it is (Besides the Fem!Asian!Watson)
that it just feels like America trying to rip off another amazing British series...idk... just bothers me that america feels the need to redo something already amazing, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' you know?

Also I feel that Sherlock Holmes should be in London...Not friggin NYC... feels wrong :/

Anyways, just my opinion coming from Canada, eh

I am so disappointed, too. AMERICA, WHY DO YOU RUIN TV SHOWS!?!?!

As much as I hate myself for doing this, I'm going to try to tune in next week just because I am a nice person and want to give them the benefit of the doubt...

...but that episode was so lackluster and flat. It was pathetic. Even my least favourite BBC Sherlock episode (The Blind Banker) was far more entertaining than that was.
