Description
I did this as part of a project for art; it's of a victim of the holocaust drawn using water color pencils in the stlye of Maurice Wiedman. I wasn't sure whether to put this in the drawing or painting catagory, so if it's in the wrong section then let me know.I know that anotomically speaking it's rather distorted, but that's what I was trying to get in this picture. However, I've descided to try and avoid using this sort of thing in an art project. Finding the reference pictures is too depressing.

this is an absolutely lovely picture, and makes me truely feel sadden and depressed. I myself having to have learned about the Holocaust since Kindergartern, really just kind've makes me feel 'oofiee' ya know?....well, the colours really reflect the true being of this picture, and i really like how you captured this picture alot. I understand about you talking about it hard to try and find a picture about this subject, just go get a stupid grade in school, and i agree. At times it feels like schools should have us kept away from this type of saddening thing, but i also strongly believe everyone should understand and learn about everything, and not keep it all hidden and bottled up. once again lovely picture. nice work luv

I know, that just sickens me. It's just so....... stupid. Why would you deny it? I mean, I highly doubt he was involved with it, it's not like he's trying to keep himself from being arrested for war crimes or anything. By denying it you're just throwing salt in the eyes of those that survived, as if it were so trivial it doesn't matter if it happened or not.
People have to learn from it, so that it doesn't happen again.

awww... he looks so sad.. i love the coloring and the tones you used, especially the blue round his eyes, it looks very pretty :3 an i know what you mean about those pictures.. its just so upsetting.. i can never look at any photos like that without ending up in tears
