Description
So a couple of months back I wanted to make my own RWBY characters and am currently still tinkering with them. This was the only one that I have so far been able to draw, and even then I still want to make changes to him. I was so proud of this guy's armor design, but then a month later I saw the last episode of the second season, where some guy had almost the same style of armor (with one big shoulder pad) and I was like DAMNIT that's no fair!Ah well. Hope you like it so far!

I mainly put this up so that people don't think I actually died. I'm just really busy with University and my other art account.

I was thinking he was like a child-prodigy regarding hand-to-hand combat. However I'm not planning on doing this to all my OC's and he will also have some flaws to balance out his skills

That's a good way to go about it. Perfect characters rarely get a base of fans, as flaws really do help flesh a character out and make them more relate able

Quick. Slap some gun on that weapon somewhere. Then it'll truly be a RWBY weapon!!
But seriously, that's a great design. I like your design over the character they used though. Out of curiosity though, have you decided on a semblance for him yet?

My plan was to not give him a long range gun (kind of like Juane) but i might add ranged attacks to his weapon. And no I have not decided on a semblance, so if you have an idea, I would love to hear it

Ah, I just wanna put it out there I was trying to make a joke. I do really like the design of your weapon though.

Haha no worries. so far I was thinking of having him be from like a really talented hunter/huntress family, so him and his older brother were raised as child prodigies, however this guy (I mean my OC) was never as good as his brother. When they came of age to go to academies like beacon, they each received a portion of the family's armor (that's why he only has half). So while he is pretty talented, he never thinks he's good enough and isn't good at anything besides fighting. I'm also debating on having his brother killed off or not. Each has it's perks and it's flaws.
