Holy crap, cosplay dump time. From Sakuracon 2009 - Sunday. I was Fantina. I made Roark, Gardenia (not pictured), Maylene (not worn XD), Candice (not pictured), and Volkner. I styled all of the wigs. My mommy made my dress =3I'm especially proud of Volkner's jeans. Holy crap, I made fully fuctional jeans. They even have that change pocket bullshit!! >D
The Dawn's expression makes me giggle. She's all ".. wtf, aren't I supposed to come find you?"

ah, I saw you at Sakuracon! I was a random pokemon trainer holding the large Darkrai plush. I didn't know you made all of the gym leader costumes, they all looked great! ^_^

Hah hah, I was. My mom actually only made Fantina. I made all the others, and styled all of the the wigs (except Roark, who didn't need any styling, hah hah).
The Fantina wig was by far the hardest.. Gardenia was up there, too, but I like how hers turned out way better. I need to do a proper shoot of her D:
By about the end of this I was just dead and sobby. But they turned out good, so it was worth it

You could like, run a business if you already don't! Never thought of Gardenia's hair being hard before. Is it 'cause it has two overlapping layers (or something similar going on)?

Well, I had to make a foam base to give it it's shape, then wrap the hair around. Since for the life of me I couldn't find Spe or the random other manga with Gardenia (like, anywhere. D: ) I ended up making the black headbands, so luckily the bit in the back holds it together nicely (it's also glued down). =3

Your Fantina wig was awesome, it left me to recognize you immediately. You styles all of the wigs nicely, actually. Also, that Volkner was very well into character. XD
I was a total Pokemon nerd at Sakura-Con; literally, because I was dressed a Thorton most of the time. XD
