I gotta say, not only does this man have an amazing voice, but he's also, actually, rather fun to draw as well.
Hard, but fun.Alan Rickman-Snape, everybody!
Anywho, yes, took me quite a bit longer than I would like to admit. But, hey, it gave me an excuse to listen to Harry Potter soundtracks for hours on end.

Alan Rickman, the celebratedΒ British film and stage actor best known for role inΒ Harry Potter,Β has died aged 69 after suffering from cancer.Β Rickman passed away in London with his family by his side. Alan Rickman for me was incredible, brilliant, talented, unique man who seemingly had to live forever ... And so he is no longer in the world ... Wow, this is gorgeous. I normally prefer canon!snape to AR, but this is such a beautiful portrait, it goes straight into favs. I especially like his expression, it could mean so many things - well, as I said, just wow.

Yes, he has, and you succeeded admirably. It's all there - the cold, emotionless stare, assessment, power, even a little defiance, but also some softness, warmth and longing - a whole range of emotions nearly there, but not quite defined.
You managed to capture his character in all its complexity, not reducing him to one single aspect. Wish I knew how to do that! (I only paint abstract stuff, because I feel quite incompetent at doing portraits and such.)

This is very Rickman-like - love it! And, if you really want to listen to AR for hours on end, I suggest you try & find a copy of the audio version of Thomas Hardy's 'Return of the Native' (I think it's still available on Amazon - both .co.uk and .com) - he narrates it - beautifully!

I really love this picture of Snape. It has this gentle feel (not so rigid like some pictures I see of him) and the shading is smooth. I like this a lot. (I have a huge crush on him and you did a fantastic job so I'll join the others here and drool in his presence).

My lord, this is probably the best picture I have seen of Severus Snape ever. It's a perfect Alan Rickman/Snape, a little younger than AR which is more true to the books. Thank you for sharing! And thanks to Loten who guided me here!

Yeah, I was sort of going for more how he looked in the memories scene in the last movie, I suppose. It's crazy how they can make people look so much younger in movies 
I have heard that she mentioned something about this but I can't seem to find her page! Do you happen to have a link? I would love to read her story and all.
