I actually don't have NWN2 just yet, but it was released today, and I intend to pick-up my (reserved
) copy tomorrow.Ah... I can smell the fresh ink off the box already...
The crazy person dancing around with the box is, of course, me; the people in the last panel are friends of mine. From left to right: , , , , and . The floaty heads off to the side are (upper) , another friend of mine and the president of our college's anime club, and (lower) 's friend Hikari.
The "gay lover" thing is an inside joke started a few months ago.

I got NWN1 for Christmas too, when it was fairly new. Gosh, that was forever ago... It won't even work on my current computer! I have to use my old PC to play it.

I have Windows 7, and while it can work with Win 7, it's my graphics card NWN1 has issue with. I actually have older games like Baldur's Gate and Fallout (original, not 3/New Vegas, though I have those too) run on it just fine. Strange, that.

Aw, you have the original fallout? (Actually I've never played it, but it looks cool). And Baldur's Gate? That's just awesome. Still, I'm transfering stuff to my E-drive and installing XP in a bit

Yeah. I haven't finished the original Fallout, but I've beaten Baldur's Gate II more times than I can count. One of my favorite games still. The first Baldur's Gate is good too, but I like BG2 more for the better character depth and commentary.
You can get the original Fallout and Fallout 2 in a combo box set, or buy them from digital distributors. I got mine from Direct2Drive before Gamefly bought them.

Yes, NWN2 is a completely different game. NWN Diamond is the original NWN game along with its two expansion packs and three Bioware-made mods. NWN2 is a pseduo-sequel to NWN, but you don't have to play NWN to enjoy or understand NWN2.
NWN2 is newer and has different graphics, a completely different storyline, different characters (save for one or two) and the plot has nothing to do with NWN's plot, though a few events from the first game are mentioned a couple times in passing.

There's probably a custom file like a dialog pak that needs to be downloaded with it and installed too. Check the mod you installed and see if it came with a Readme file.

Oh gods, that was my reaction exactly when I received my NWN 2. Except that I ordered the Lawful Good edition.
I had ordered at Play.com, and it arrived 2 weeks after they sent it. I do not trust the British mail system these days, as they lose more and more stuff recently. So I was pretty scared that my special edition had been lost.

I would've gotten Lawful Good (though I'm more a Neutral Good player 
The mailing system at my college is really retarded and delays things forever, so I just reserved a copy at the local GameStop and picked it up back on November first... And then it turned out my retarded graphics card didn't work for it... So I bought a new one just so I could play NWN2. Best $240 (game and card together) I've ever spent.

Yeah, it is, which is the one I ended up getting -- I actually wanted Lawful Good (I hate playing Lawful Good characters, I'm more a Neutral Good or Chaotic Good person myself), especially since I always play good characters... But the store had only the Chaotic Evil Special Editions... So yeah.
