this is for her because she's one of the best artists i know. i always enjoy seeing her art, and she's definitely an inspiration for me.
she uploaded this lineart awhile ago, and i wanted to color it for her because she uploads so many pictures and doesn't color them XD and i've always wanted to color one of her linearts.
and im totally getting the hang of this digital coloring & texture thing

Great job with the coloring! The shading is soft, but there's still so much depth to it. I'm really impressed with the number of blues you managed to get in there, and the highlighting is really well done!

this is really intricate, I love the colors, but what I like most is a really unique dragon you made kind of rolling around like a puppy - he almost looks flirtatious

Cool! I'd lose patience so quickly with something like this ^^ Your color blending's really nice between your middle and light values, so it's kind of strange to see a cel-shade approach to your shadows. Otherwise, nice work with the scales and the mane-- really like the choices there

yeah im still trying to find my personal coloring style, so im just doing a whole bunch of things until i find a combo that's comfortable for me ^^

It's not a bad thing, necessarily. Putting sharp highlights on this guy'd look tacky, and most cast shadows tend to have hard edges, amirite? Hmm... an epiphany for my own art when I actually do something again!
