How did I miss this? How in the hell did I miss this awesome piece of work here? Seeing this just... shot a wave of nostalgia through me, and now I have to go find my Project A-ko soundtrack and listen to Jealous Eyes from the soundtrack to behold the intense awesomeness of this pic here! Awesome job, man!!

still one of the illest to date, I agree, I saw this anime over 10 years ago, 10 years later im still impressed. It kinda tripped me out to learn this was originally going to be part of the "cream lemon" hentai series though lol

Ha! First anime I ever watched. It absolutely blew my mind in every respect and this is a stylish tribute to it. I remember pausing the vhs at various points so I could draw the characters.

I remember Project A-Ko; it was one of the first epic anime shows that I had ever seen (shared on bootleg VHS back in the 1980s). As I recall, A-Ko's parents are revealed (at the end of the movie) as Superman and Wonder Woman, explaining A-ko's super powers that she displayed during the story.
I seem to recall that there were several trash-quality sequels to the original, none of which I took the time to finish.

the original definitely sits well above it's sequels, but fun all the same

Childhood throw back. I remember seeing this anime for the first time back when SyFy was SciFi and had old school anime. Think they aired like Saturday mornings or evenings. Been some time.

I agree the action in this is still top of the line beating out much of todays anime action. It also is a very climatic movie. This is one of my fan favs.

This was the 1st true anime I had ever seen....
original language, no subtitles, and cartoon nudity to boot.
All seen complete with grainy picture on an "umpteenth" generation VHS tape.
(the genre was still kind of underground back then).
I've heard that this flick was actually made from a leftover script....of a porno,
that was altered to become the mainstream Aε that we all know and love today.
Considering how wacky this movie is,
I sometimes I wonder what that other story could have possibly been like.
I think I'll go watch it right now.
