Basics Name: Brogan Lombardi
Usually I don't use last names for this since Animal Crossing characters don't have last names, but Brogan and his surname are super personal and important to me, so I thought why not!!
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Species: Chesnaught
Hometown: Coumarine City, Kalos
Birthdate: October 13th, 1983
Nature: Hardy

Personality: Chummier than the chummiest of chums, Brogan could easily put a smile on any Pokemon’s face. Or at least that’s what he likes to think. A tad hard to take at times, due to his boisterous attitude, Brogan’s presence can be a bit… overwhelming. But he means well! He’s not impossible to calm, he’s just a big guy with a BIG energy supply. Regardless, he’ll do what he can to make anybody comfortable and happy around him.

History:
Born into a comfortably middle-class family, Brogan was raised as an only child in the quiet city of Coumarine. Due to spending time with his mom, an incense-crafting Chesnaught, and his dad, a Typhlosion landscaper, the little Chespin boy’s childhood was extremely focused on being in-tune with nature. His soft-spoken, gentle parents adored their son, and the family of three enjoyed a serene and leisurely life. Brogan’s rowdiness, however, hit a growth spurt before the Chespin himself did, and the city was soon introduced to a rambunctious little rascal.
Brogan explored the city from top to bottom, inside and out. Every minute of his day would be spent sightseeing, as he’d climb the tallest trees, search through the old local shops, dig for buried treasure in the park, roll down the cliffs in torn up tires down into the unknown, anything that’d give him a burst of excitement. His favorite method of getting lost would be to walk along the city’s monorail until the train scared him off the trail. Wherever he and the train would meet, that would be the spot he’d jump off and explore for the day. It was a risky routine, but it kept his adventurous soul burning.
There was one spot in the city, however, that would never cease to entertain the boy. Brogan found himself wandering to Coumarine’s port on a daily basis, watching the boats come in and speaking with whoever passed through. The Chespin loved listening to the stories the sailors would bring back from time spent on the sea, marveling at the storms they spoke of, the ocean critters they’d find, the tales of seasickness, everything. With no sailing blood in his family, the perplexing idea of a life on the sea filled him with wonder. But the city had enough to explore, he didn’t feel the need to find a life outside of Coumarine.
That is, until, a more… colorful sailor stopped by the port one day. A grizzly young wolfman going by “Cortés” had decided to restock and rest in the seaside city, setting up camp near the docked ships. Brogan had seen countless sailors pass through, but none had looked so… rugged. The Chespin knew this man would have stories to tell, and it wasn’t hard to convince Cortés to brag about his accomplishments on the sea. The seafaring Zoroark shared a myriad of memories with Brogan. Sinking ships, looting the innocent, tracking down treasure, fighting against storms, feeding traitors to Sharpedo, meetings with women that were probably most likely not entirely suitable for being retold to a kid, anything and everything that popped into his head. Brogan’s eyes would grow wide with wonder as he listened to the pirate’s daring tales, his heart aching to see what else that great blue beyond had to offer. By the time Cortés left the city behind, Brogan’s mind was made up.
As the Chespin grew older, he was offered numerous small tasks by the friendly sailors in the port, thanks to his budding strength. Nothing more daring than helping haul in some catches, but it was still work! His interest in the sea grew stronger with each passing day, and some seafarers pointed him in the direction of the shipyard in Slateport City. “They could use some help from a husky little man like you, kid!” This dream cemented itself in Brogan’s heart for years to come, and the day our then-Quilladin turned 18, he packed up, gave his parents some smoochie doos, and set out with a bounce in his step.
Brogan was accepted with open arms the moment he arrived, the shipyard always needing an extra pair of hands, and was soon recognized as the life of the group. The big lug worked hard and played hard, and fit right in with the hardy bunch of Fighting-types, finding a second family in his co-workers. However, while he loved every moment of his work, Brogan still wondered what kind of excitement he could find on the sea. To his surprise, his long-time idol, Cortés, frequently visited the shipyard during breaks from his looting sprees. The old fox had abandoned his job at the shipyard years prior, but stopped by now and again to whip the workers back into shape. Brogan’s admiration for the pirate was anything but hidden, as he was practically glued to Cortés whenever the scraggly Zoroark stopped by (Cortés swore they had never met before). After a *handful of offers to join Cortés (*dozens of days spent begging him), Brogan was finally allowed to lend a hand on the pirate’s ship. Besides, what did Cortés have to lose? He wasn’t the strongest man alive, maybe he could use this Chesnaught’s strength.
Long story short, Brogan’s time on the pirate’s ship was short-lived. Neither has gone into detail concerning what happened, and Brogan swears “Boss was just jokin’ around!!”, but the Chesnaught found himself washed up One Island of the Sevii Islands days later, and settled down in the archipelago for a number of years, living a mundane day-to-day life. However, like many living on One Island, he still had an itch for adventure that he couldn’t scratch. Once again, Brogan decided to pack up and leave home with an even bigger bounce in his step, on a quest for a new life that could finally satisfy.

Ever since leaving home, he’s always made sure to write to his parents at least once a week

His parents, being a Grass and Fire type couple, always told Brogan that opposites attract. This is especially true in Brogan’s case, he goes weak in the knees over quiet and shy girls!
