This is bursting with a powerful energy, it almost seems like part of a music video (Only not retarded) and I feel myself waiting for the pounding beat to pickup as her raven hair flies through the air. Everything in this shot mesmerizing my eyes, the tone, the black and white of her clothing, a study in contrasts. The movement and stillness, a moment in time stopped before the music begins to play again, the rest are some times more important then the notes.. So many details, the chair, the worn walls and floor, things pushed away and unwanted… Her shirt, shorts and shoes, a strange combination that seems to hold perfection that I can’t really figure out, but that I can sense strongly. The glistening skin of her legs adds so much to that intensity of her and brings more to that feeling of a unrestrained dance that I have. It’s rather sensual too, but in a way I find hard to describe, perhaps more the energy then anything else. The angle and framing with those soft blurred sections draw the eyes straight to the model. I’m not quite sure what else to say, this piece quite literally shakes the walls for me and brings some very pulse pounding music to mind. Well done!
