the cover for a friend's soon to be released jazz cd. that's him staring at you with those vacant holes he calls eyes.
i'm a little conserned about the yellow on his face. is it too much? there's another version if so.

I really like the sharp lines of the cityscape in contrast to the sketchyface. The hot glow has an energy to it, reminds me of ben templesmith, when hes actually trying. My only issue was the top right portion, stemming from the large amount of headroom above the subject: it feels like there should be something more defined (either in color or in strokes) in that area. Anyhow, i'm glad theres finally a piece from you - GOSHH. JEEZ. yes, im sleep deprived.

yeah, the space was left so i could put in the name of the album and artist. but since my friend has yet to let me know what the title etc are, i've got that big empty space. i'm actually worried that the space might not have been enough to accomodate all the text anyway so my excuse isn't really good enough. i always have a good deal of touble incorporating text into my stuff, actually.
and sorry about the lack of updates recently. i'd like to think i'm starting to get back into the swing of things

Crikey man. I really like this. Your stuff gets better and better each time. I really love your handling of textures, above all else. You have a great eye for it. Arrrgh. I need to get over there sometime during the school year and see how you work. And use it as my own technique. Then become famous, kill you, stuff you into my mattress, and act as if nothing happened.

the only thing that actually bothers me is the fact that you typed your name. i would much rather see that you scribbled it in, right now it's all my eye really wants to look at. those splatters are nice. are they brushes you downloaded or did you make them by hand?

jeez, didn't mean to leave my name typed in there. i was trying to find places to work it in, and that was SUPPOSED to be a placeholder. anyway, the splatters are brushes. try doing google searches for "blood" or "splatter"

i've done searches for splatters, but i've only found one semi decent one. i like to do my own though. splatter is fun as hell to do.
