Description Saw a box of dried seahorses in a Chinese herb store last week. I asked the shopkeeper if I could take a picture of them, and she took them off the shelf for me.

I picked one of them in the picture, and after two days' work...

...the final product.


I am very proud of this piece. Very, VERY proud. It is not in my usual style, so it was a bit intimidating. But I was willing to try.

But geez, all that crosshatching...

It was fun for me for like...eh maybe a few minutes but then I was like, kay too much. and it was for like a cobblestone street and I wanted like every stone to be croshatched. Yeah.. that was not fun.
Lol! ahh good old irony...it can be such a pain sometimes...

I mean, it's cool to do crosshatching, but it just takes too long.

Especially when the teacher wanted our first hw assignment--a still life--to be completed PERFECTLY in TWO NIGHTS. And I only had time to do it in one night! :C And what do ya know, she hated everyone's pieces. >:/
