it's no secret that i'm gay as hell for ecco the dolphin, as will probably be evidenced by the amount of inspiration so blatantly in my work. particularly DotF even though almost no one will agree with me. (no offense Ed i still love you big time)i also find DotF's particular brand of shitty dolphin anatomy somewhat relaxing to draw. UHHH, UHHHHH, IT'S MY STYLE, GAWD.

I also love Ecco Defender of the Future! Sure it isn`t what fans wanted but when I got it, I didn`t know anything about the 2d games so I played it open-minded.
Despite its`flaws (almost no replayability and a stupid new villain-type although the vortex where just fine) I like this game alot.

I find the whole Ecco series interesting but DOTF is the only one I actually tried playing, years ago. I love it despite (and maybe also because of)Β its weird, trippy story. I don't know why Ecco is the only one who can do all the superhero stuff... but oh gosh, the music and visuals are all so beautiful, in my opinion. And so much fun making Ecco do tricks in the air and water instead of having him do the stuff he's supposed to (but, frustratingly,Β he was always most likely to die trying to do what he was supposed to, so YAY FOR PROCRASTINATION).

I played all the Ecco games ass backwards. DOTF was the first Ecco game I managed to find when I was younger. Then came the SEGA games.. GUESS IT DOESN'T MATTER THOUGH BECAUSE DOTF ISN'T A SEQUEL TO THE SEGA GAMES. I guess DOTF counted as a 1-off?
Now go play Ecco Jr.

EtD was my first game but it was the game gear version cos i didn't have a genesis. and the game gear versions are like whole different games, basically.

I actually liked Ecco Jr. It was a cute relaxing game that you could just chill and do shit. Plus the levels where you had to collect the rings was nice.
and the fact they let you actually play 2 other characters was interesting. ;'D I am such a slut for Ecco. sob
Nice. At least you started with the original lol I was able to get TOT and then ETD for Sega CD later down the road.. ):U

HOW CAN YOU TELL HOW YOUNG ECCO IS? other than they literally said he was young
that could mean anything though, he could be in his dolphin 30s. ecco is only as young as you want him to be
as for character he doesnt really have any. but that's okay because he didn't need to for the games to be fun
i think the most character he ever had was the time he flipped off the asterite and used the time machine instead of destroying it
