Real Name: Gwen Rivers

Powers: Can control liquids and organic fluids. Minor telepathy. Artificial healing factor also resulting in enhanced speed, strength, stamina, and slowed aging. High pain tolerance.

Power Details: Purge's ability to control organic fluids allows her to control the internal functions of any organic creature. Purge can be as specific or ranged in choosing how to affect her opponent and prefers messy endings to clean ones. Her telepathy is weak and she cannot read guarded thoughts. However by distracting the victim with tortuous pain, Purge is able to extract almost any information.

History: One of the earlier experiments in the Weapon X project, Gwen was considered a failure after becoming catatonic during experimentation. However while performing open brain surgery on her, Gwen became actively conscious and demonstrated a power that was considered very useful to the project. Given the code name "Purge" Gwen was used for information extracting (torture) and silent infiltration. Remembering nothing of her past before becoming catatonic, Purge followed every order seeing herself with no higher function than a drone. As time went on, Purge grew mentally unstable and became enthralled with torture and killing. She was considered too dangerous to keep conscious and was put into a suspended sleep state. Years later, a mutant attack on the facility freed her from her prison. She was last seen escaping into the wilderness.

Personality: Towards the beginning of Purge's occupation as part of Weapon X she was very emotionless. Considering herself a drone, she preferred the luxury of not thinking about consequences. As time went on, Purge developed more personality. She grew to like being in control of her powers and herself and began liking less being told what to do. Purge became very confident and cocky, enjoying to torture people's minds with both sharp words and her powers. She has no animosity towards either humans or mutants, but regards both as silly creatures playing a game of war.
