I did a thing.Honestly, I haven't made much headway in the improvement department when it comes right down to it, but actually having a RL and whatnot tends to do that to you (I never thought I would miss highschool but at least I had time to draw then). I would say that I am a bit better at defining my kids and differentiating them now, I just can't draw them to consistently look the same. I think I will also forever hate painting hair and just drawing Xylia in general, so some things definitely never change. But yeah, I'm not entirely unhappy with the attempt.

Both your coloring and drawing skills have improved tremendously. You truly captured the emotions on these characters more correctly the second time around, I suppose you could say, than the first time. Although both works are lovely we can see the range of emotions from: "God I HATE THESE PEOPLE AND EVERYTHING ELSE" all the way to: "Wow what a confusing day it has been friends.", more apparently in the second one. It also shows that along with you, your characters have also grown and changed with you. In other words, dang this is mad sexy, yo.

Damn, Shonk. The newer one is amazing (not that the original isn't of course). The colours in the second one are so vibrant and their expressions are brilliant. Not to mention that scarf!

It is one awesome scarf. As long as it doesn't start taking out your characters one by one. I don't think they'd stand a chance...

I like both of them, I like the colors in both of them, though you got much lighter colors in the newer one.

The colours are actually the same in the original too, but I was obsessed with applying gradient filters at the time so it ended up with a warmer scheme. I could probably get the new one to look the same too

Eh I think both looks good for their own reason. The expressions and shading on the new one is superb, but then again the look of the old one has its own charm. Just sayin'.

Dude, this is awwwwwesoooome! I really love seeing where you've taken the characters since the last piece. It's not just an improvement pic you've got going on here, but something showing character growth, or what you've learned about them, or what you think they're more like, etc. Cool beans!
