every new thing i see from you is a leap from the last one.

I kinda lost interest in the caricature stuff. lol. I had so much other work for the past few months keeping me occupied I found it was becoming more of a burden. cutting into the time I needed to be working on the other stuff i was enjoying more (video game concepts). So I've pretty much given up on it for the time being. we'll see if i get motivated to try and do it again some day.

I hear ya brotha. But do you feel it's helped your design?

I have to say I have a love/hate relationship with caricatures. I love the art form when done well, but find all too often that it's an excuse to forget the basics and such.

I've tried to step back to the basics and relearn everything I thought I knew. Also, I find that since I've started painting traditionally, and with fewer colours to my disposal, my mind is set to pick up slight hues, tone, value and saturation that I never saw before.
