Question? I'm not griping aboutΒ the scale, just its kind of bugging me. Is the house big or are Jazz and Prowl just small?

You know, this makes me wonder whether or not Cybertronians actually have an equivalent to coffee.

Hey StarHorse, I see you use normal ink on your paintings, do you keep the line art and the painting separate and place them on top of eachother digitally? Or do you ink right over it... Im asking because Im talking about experience that it can be frustrating if you have to start over again when you mess up... -.-"

*laughs* Yes, I know all about the messing up part. Inking is nerve-wracking for me, because no, I don't do it digitally. Everything is completely traditional, all on one paper. So I pencil in the lines, paint with watercolors, and then ink over everything as the final step. Inking is scary, because I sometimes spend hours on a painting, then mess something up royally with inks. But practice helps, and I make fewer mistakes now.

The best thing for you to do, seriously, is to go to the library and look at the watercolor tutorial/instruction books. That's what I did. I looked for the books that inspired me, and went from there. Beyond that, it's practicing until you start getting the results you want. Also, if an entire landscape is too much, then just start with a nice tree, or a mailbox, or a cat, or just something small. You can make a charming picture out of a very simple subject.
But seriously, go to the library. It's cheaper than buying the books, and you can look for the artists you really like, or who paint in the style you like.

Thanks for the tip, I've got a few things on watercolor, but it never really attracted me to work from them. Maybe trying out is the best option for me. Hope I didn't hit a nerve by asking? ^^'

I would have said "How domestic" but it would've been taken wrong. It is a rather domestic and rather every day sort of setting. Almost like in a break room at work or just in a kitchen at a boarding house or hotel. Prowl's expression seems to say "Yes, and?" or "You can stop staring now."
sorries, was babbling a bit there.

Hmm I can recommend a "home" blend of 2/3rds fine pure Darjeeling and Grapefruit tea. It is really fresh and quite envigorating!

Wow...so natural-looking! I especially like the characters' poses. Nicely done, Starhorse. ^_^
It's interesting how these two, high-tech ninjas are having coffee in what looks like a typical human residence's kitchen. It makes me wonder if those two are human-sized for the picture or the kitchen is actually Cybertronian-sized for them.
Say, did you use your kitchen as a model for this, or is the setting from your imagination?
Keep up the excellent work! ^_0
