My family went to an animal park last week and since then I've felt inspired to draw a river otter. They're always the most fun animals to watch, the way they like to show off their swimming skills. I would have sat in front of their enclosure all day if I could.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much reference when I drew this. Just my memory and someone else's otter artwork. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out though. A few things about it drive me nuts, particularly the rear leg on the other side of its body. I should redraw that. . . But I don't feel like it. Then my scanner messed this up some too. The shading looks a whole lot better on the real thing.
