So a little while back WishingStarInAJar posted this response to a series of questions she got concerning what class her OC Alys would be if she wasn't born an Eliatrope, and later posted some really fun doodles that expanded upon the AU, as well as introducing both Rulzrias and Qinn as character that would fill the Eliatrope sized gap Alys left upon becoming a Huppermage. xD And in a short conversation that we had on her page, I mentioned my own interested in this class swapping idea and she encouraged me to go with it-

I want to introduce an AU version of Wolfe that would exist if he hadn't been born, and raised, as a Rogue, and I want to start this by prefacing that my little slice of the Smisse family has always had distant roots in both Enutrof (through the father, Kibrar) and Feca (through the mother, Alele). And this is something that I intend on further implementing through Wolfe's intense obsession with stealing to own, hence his reputation, and the protector role that I have planned later, for his story. In this AU though, both Dertivi and Mau (Wolfe) respectively took their parent's classes, rather than becoming the rogues that you see in my usual work, and to tie in the tricky relationship that he's always had with his mother I've consequently made it so that Mau is born under the Feca class, just like she is. Which has, in turn, furthered that obsession she had with him having to be 'like her.' However, Mau never adopted the nickname Wolfe because it, well, doesn't exist without that rogue element and instead, he grows up in a somewhat unstable and poor family in the inner circle of Brakmar. His father, having upset the royal family through a mixture of both owed debts and failure to do tasks upon request, offered up the younger of his two sons as tribute and this surprisingly, worked, as they bought Mau in as both a servant (slave, really), and understudy to the Brakmarian guard. Utilizing his unique abilities as a Feca though, Mau quickly gained favour with the Brakmarian King and when old enough, joined the inner circle as part of the elite private security that protects him full time. He is the Kings shield and because of this, was granted a very beautiful, golden arm piece that he wears with pride.

And if you're wondering "hey Jinx, what happened to Wolfe's hair? Isn't it meant to be long?" Well, after coming to terms with the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother, this version of Wolfe cut his own hair to remind him who controls his life. That being, him and the King that quite literally collared him, aha.

I had a lot of with with this, and its tied in very nicely with my last poll so I'm going to post this now before the nerves get the better of me. |D If you want to see any other of my character face a class swap, please let me know! I'm more than happy to give this another go. ouob
