Agreed. Nova cannons, lances, cyclonic torpedoes (anti-planet nukes) are just over the top. Like the rest of 40k.

Seriously? I don't think there's a lot of sci-fi space fleets capable of taking on the Emperor's Holy Navy. Why, in a forum RPG when I brought in 40k, even an anime fan had to admit, their use against the Aerogators (Super Robot Wars) and Space Monsters (Gunbuster) were endless due thanks to preserving humanity.
