Description I have a tendency to colour my favourite sketches, so they're never displayed in their raw form. I also spend time editing the sketches before colouring them. That means moving, resizing and skewing a lot of bits and bobs until the image looks good when flipped around. I mean, why spend time colouring when the base drawing isn't solid?

So here are some of my faves, completely unedited. You'll see little annoying things like forehead size, eye alignment, hair poofiness and hand size are my problem areas.

I hope it's okay that I'm posting this. I found these sketches as I was backing stuff up and I just really wanted to share them as they are.

Add a dash of colour! Huzzah!

And yet, these are great. I seriously can't see the flaws you point. Maybe this is just above my skill level and as such I'm blid to its weaknesses. Boy, I already wish I could nail a pose like the drawing in the upper left corner or the middle bottom ones. Β xD

I love being able to compare colored versions to black&white!!
Although I must say...even with the colored ones for comparison, it's really challenging for me to find those problem areas mentioned.
Your overall technical skill doesn't make them pop out in a glaringly obvious manner--or perhaps I'm just no good at picking out flaws yet.

I'm glad the raw forms get to see the light of day as well, they deserve it.

I like sketches way more than coloured works! There's just more visual interest and humanity in them, somehow. Though I think expert painters might feel differently.

I do! One thing though, for some reason I can't find anywhere to purchase that pentel hotshots pencil O.o Idk why it's like they've been discontinued I was just wondering if you know of another pencil similar to it? Or is it just a mechanical pencil with black lead or something? It's alright if you have no idea XD
