When I look at this I get an abandonment vibe, with the street traffic gone, no people, the road dilapidated, building style looks like it was made back in the 70’s or 80’s, the grass half dead, the trees having no leaves, and that grey sky with the light trying to get through. The very last thing I saw when looking at this was the sign that says building for lease. The road has a more grainy looking texture from time and use taking its toll. The road says, at one point I was well traveled, and now I am forgotten and left to decay under the elements. The dead grass having a rugged look, like it had seen better days. The the older architecture with the manilla coloring, has a bleakness, almost invisible to the public eye. The building no longer knowing who will visit it, or if it will ever have any part of society ever again. The grey sky weeps for the road and buildings abandonment and loneliness. The light that comes through is the sky’s way of saying that there is hope, even with this tragedy. That you both may not be completely forgotten to the world.
When looking at the picture I felt that tying in the electric poles from the foreground to the mid ground was a good choice to leave in the pic. They look like they are pointing at the building. They also tie the earth and sky together, so the whole picture doesn’t look too linear. The extra details of the graininess of the road, the rugged grass, and the sky, are very pleasing to the eye. I don’t know if all of these elements were photoshopped or if that is part of the pic, but if so on any, great job. It helped bring that little added extra to this pic.

This is a great capture! I take it that huge monstrosity is empty too, with the lease sign?..
