History: Orphaned at birth due to his scandalous heritage, Dieter Dellahunt was named and raised by a poor but loving family in the downtrodden parts of Dunwall. At a young age he discovered that he possessed a steady hand and a keen eye, which he put to good use as he took up sewing and art. With these talents he managed to elevate his foster family to reasonable living conditions. All was well until a unit of the City Guard arrived at their place of business and began a killing spree. His foster mother and grandparents were killed in the attack, and Dieter was gravely wounded. In his final moments of consciousness, he was used by the godly apparition known as the Outsider.

He informed Dieter that it was once again time for a change in the world, and that he would be the one to lead it. Gifting him with the “Mark of the Outsider” and returning him to the land of the living, Dieter took up the path of the masked assassin, promising to bleed those who had wronged him. These include the reigning monarchy, corrupted members of the City Watch, religious zealots, and a long thought-dead assassin by the name of Coyote Sinclair.
