Marowak doesn't wear a skull, that is its actual face. The reason why Cubone wears its mother's skull, is not just out of mourning for its dead mother. Its head is still soft so it needs a helmet until evolution.

What that Slowking doesn't know is that Cubone's mother was Khangkaskahn

I've always been sorta wondering... If that's a female, does that mean it's kid is technically gonna have the grandma's skull? And in theory, if it keeps getting female babies that skull is gonna be HELLA old XD (I think to hard about Pokemon stuff sometimes, me thinks owo)

Ahh Marowak. I love that guy. Why did they remove him from being a starter in PMD: Darkness/Time I will never understand. 'Course fighting Articuno with him in Rescue Team was hell on Earth XD

Isn't it possible that Cubone just uses the same skull their mother uses? I mean, unless EVERY Marowak EVER dies after giving birth, you'd think good O'l Professor Oak and the rest would try and find a way to stop it from happening.

Actually, cubone was originally supposed to be a baby Kangaskhan that had lost its mother and made her skull into a helmet. The game designers ended up ditching the idea but they had already had it programmed into the game but they just deleted the code and that is where missingo comes from.

Techneclly a marowaks skull (the visible one) is the one a cubone wears for grief of its dead mother. The skull changes after evolution.
