What an insightful and well-thought-out comment. Β Excellent, great job. I'll change my ways for sure now. Β I mean, I can't even argue with your logic - you have obviously done years of research. Β Clear, concise, to the point. Β Have a good day, professor.

Evidence STRONGLY suggests that I am not a toilet, however it is impossible to prove a negative - I suppose it comes down to "toilets can't type". Β Communism, on the other hand is not gay, on account of it not being a person or animal with any sexual impulse. Β Ideologies have no sexual orientation, communism is no exception. Β I would argue though that some ideologies and systems of government have sexual repercussions and even sexual objectives - however communism is not one of those. Β

In many ways the Taipings were protocommunists..taking christianity literally and sinicizing it. While Marx was writing in the NY tribune they nearly took down the Manchu/Ching dynasty..

The Taiping Rebellion was a revolt in Southern China against the Qing/ Manchu government that occurred between 1850 and 1864. Its leader was Hong Xiuquan, who believed he was literally the little brother of Jesus Christ (apparently God told him this in a dream and gave him a sword to fight demons). His interpretation of Christianity was nontrinitarian and also very literalist (fundamentalist).
In the "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom" he ruled, the subject of study for civil service examinations was changed from Confucian classics to the Bible, private property was abolished and all land was held by the state, a solar calendar replaced the lunar calendar, foot binding was banned, the sexes were considered equal but also strictly separated (women could take civil service examinations and there were separate all-female army units), the Qing/ Manchu queue hairstyle was abandoned in favor of long hair, and opium, alcohol, tobacco, alcohol, polygamy, slaverym, and prostitution were all crimes punishable by death.
The Taiping Rebellion was the bloodiest civil war in human history, with a body count rivaling WW1 and WW2. The simultaneous Nian rebellion taking place in Northern China (although it was less organized and lacked a uniform set of objectives) and Dungan Revolt taking place in western China (this was an ethnic and religious war of the Hui and Uyghur peoples against the Qing/ Manchu, the Hui being Muslims but otherwise culturally Chinese and the Uyghurs being Muslims and also more like Turks or Tartars than Chinese).
