Monster - Clawed Screamer

The Clawed Screamer is native to the undergrowth beneath the redwoods of the Toneru Islands where it can be found bumbling along, wings tucked close to its side. While the Screamer leads a solitary life, when threatened or defending its territory it first tries to drive the threat away by expanding its wings in a flash of white and letting out a piercing and warbling shriek. Should this warning not deter the instigator, the Clawed Screamer lunges forward in a loping charge far faster than one would assume of its size. Three saber-like claws tipping its wings - mainly used for prying bark from the surrounding trees in search for grubs - become deadly weapons. Its blunt beak delivers a powerful bite, easily capable of crushing bone.
