Description

My remake/extension of the poster of Forbidden Planet [Amazing]. Ive made the whole thing in 3d in blender (except the starfield) as style practice.

I'm making extensive use of blenders new light linking feature to achieve this style. In order to match the look of the original poster every element has its own light rig.

In the past I would have rendered this as three or four layers to get the different looks, but with blender 4 I was able to do it in just one giant render. (this took 5 hours to render)
