I like this photo, it's really like original game landscape! A survivor should go to loot that building!

Yeah, I didn't want to suggest exchanging the model, since I figured she's somewhat close to you. I did write that at first, so next time I'll be even more dead honest. I know how good criticism is. Sometimes it annoys me too, and some stuff I do is clearly just for fun, but some is really a lot of work, so I don't want people to piss on it. Seems the same with good photography to me.
I'd take a look into After Effects, if I were you. You don't really need to know anything about photo manipulation to add a few lights and fx to the images. Look into the plugins for AE and you will find tons that produce convincing smoke, fire, explosions, etc. stock footage can also be found on youtube and imported to AE.
there is a lot of free stuff and good tutorials on this site:

Also AE is really a lot of fun and behaves to 2D like what Nuke is to 3D post production. Much, much simpler and more effective than doing it in Photoshop. Idk myself why I use Photoshop all the time. I guess it's just the fun I have painting and drawing, even when half of it is pretty much just crap.

I actually have been using AE since I was 16, and learned it before I learned Photoshop ( AE really helped me learn Photoshop, and other adobe products). I also helped teach a class in video editing when I was in high school. I am a bit rusty though, but I learned from the video copilot tutorials which are amazing. I just noticed that is what you linked hahahaha.
this is the kind of criticism that is not good
"Look I’m sorry to be “that person” but this doesn’t look like Day Z at all.
I mean it looks sick but does not resemble Day Z to me in any way.
Especially the guns. Ugh. I guess the backdrop does a tiny bit. But half the gallery of this cosplay is shit you don’t even do, like acquire a bow (YOU CAN ONLY GET A CROSSBOW) or a gas mask AND YOU DON’T JUST STAND IN OPEN FIELDS PLAYING WITH GRASS AND CATS UGH. DAY Z IS MY BABY OK."
apparently this person does not think that an m4,crowbar, and makarov lookalike is dayz enough...
I think, that I want an action shot, of someone crouched over looking at loot but has their head turned to the side with an "oh shit" look on their face and in the background you can see a person on a hill and a muzzle flash.
I have so many ideas and photos running through my head, I just want to make them real...

Thank you for the constructive criticism, a few people tend to complain and moan instead of giving advice.
one limiting aspect I have is my model, and lack of multiples. she tends to laugh a lot and does not know how to show feelings at command so I am stuck just taking photos of her with real emotions, it is really hot most of the time. Time and place is also an issue, i am shooting on an old army base, so walking around with replica weapons isnt the smartest thing, we have permission to take photos there, it is all open to the public, just nerve racking.
Photo manipulation is not my strong suit, and if I was going to have elements like smoke, shadows and people I would like them to already be there. If I can get more people I will be set

Overall I think there could be more story in your pictures. They don't really transport the survivor feeling from Dayz. They show her using gear, resting, looking at cans, but that never truly capture the feeling of Dayz. She could also try for some more facial expression without adding too much drama.
Dayz means looking at empty cans, going - damn, I'm too late to eat what was in them. It's getting into a car that only has three wheels and being surrounded by zombies a minute later. It's about breaking your leg when you have everything but morphine on you. It's finding a teddy bear that has been knawed on and is full of blood. Give some hint and let our imagination to the rest; but do give a hint.
Even more often, it is about hinting at something in the distance or barely in FOV that makes you shit your pants. The survivors often contrast to the situation by being calm and tired in situations that would make us freak out, due to our lack of experience. They are calm in the face of danger and alert when there is no danger at all.
There are some good elements in all your images, but you often leave a lot of space that could be filled with only a few hints (silhouettes, lights, smoke, etc) of something that poses a threat. Or something that might be of help. If you half 3/4 of your image pitch black and it doesn't make me feel scared, you might want to question your intention for a picture. Instead of making so many work hard on the impression the existing ones make.
