Description
This is the sword so far that my Original Character from the game The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim wields. It's a steel sword like the ones in the game but just a bit different. I don't have a name for the weapon yet but that will come after I finish the brown leather around the hilt. AND THEN IT'S DONE! ^^I mostly used various kinds of foam and spray paint for this build.

How did you get that rippled effect with the paint?

On the whole sword or a certain part? Because I first painted the whole thing black and then put some silver paint on an old piece of cloth and rubbed it with it. This technique is called "Dry brushing" you can find DIY's on Youtube for that.
For the texture on the sides, just put some hot-glue from a hot-glue gun and swirl it around for a bit. Then let it dry and paint it just like above ^^
