Thanks. As I have worked with colored pencil, I have found some new tricks. For this one, and Matty and Joy, I tried using blending stumps (glorified thick lollipop sticks). I would build up the colored pencil in layers until when I tried to apply another layer, the pencil was scraping off the color from the ones beneath. Then I would take a blending stump (after cleaning the tip so no color would smear off) and gently massage the colors together. It is redundant, frustrating, and it gives you hand cramps after a while, but the result is worth it.

Hrm, I have a couple of those, but I just haven't gotten the hang of them yet. You work wonders with them though! I'll have to give them a try again sometime.
