Yeah! I kinda had an idea of what if Inky was born from a normal Sans in some timeline because of a glitch or something, similarly to how Error came to existence.

I have a similar idea. Any AU is created bit by bit, like, you first design a character or something and you slowly build up your idea. In Ink's case he was born from a creator's mind but the rest of the AU never developed, so he watched from the outside how other AU's came into being, saw how wonderful and diverse they were, and decided he wanted to protect them :3
