Mello's enemies are everyone he's ever met. When your goal is to be number one, you might end up thinking that way.After reading the Death Note novel, Another Note, I was inspired to do this. You'll see a number of super minor characters from Wammy's House (ones that were only in 1 panel), but each character's face of the kids you can make out is one that Obata drew.
This is the first line drawing I've ever done exclusively with the tablet. I think because of this illustration I finally have a better feel of how to get the lines I want out of the tablet.

This is really cool! Lovely layout and theme. I should probably make something like this too to get to know my tablet better. I know how difficult it is getting used to drawing the lines you want, using a tablet. So this is quite impressive o_o Very nice work!

Ooh, I'm glad you found this one. I got the novel early from a special connection. Lucky!
I'm using a Wacom tablet. It's enormous, 9 x12 ". I use it through Photoshop. Sadly, I'm having a really difficult time with the line quality. I can't get it much better than this. I've done a bunch of similar pieces over on Y!Gallery, but I'm not able to do a finished piece yet.

Nice! This piece certainly defines Mello very well. It's very creative.
And nice work with the tablet! ^.^ (I just got one too, and I haven't actually finished anything I've started with it. XD)
