Went and checked out the Maiko dance in Kyoto the other weekend. For many reasons I wont mention here we were late and only saw the last half, but if your in kyoto when this is happening you should really check it out. I was in the back so this is not the best photo in the world, but i really like the colors of their kimono

The Geiko on the right, her name is "mayuha". These are geiko (proper term used in kyoto for a full-fledged geisha). They are performing in gion kobu's "miyako odori".
