Description My goodness.  I only wrote bio's for Nightpool and Goldenpelt.  You all know Spottedstar, and Meadowleap is just Fresh-heart renamed and redesigned.  She's an old, grumpy she-cat and that's pretty much it. haha

(Besides, Goldenpelt is the only one you're here for anyway. ^_~)

Nightpool-

Warrior of WindClan

Generation 7

Mentor- Spottedstar

Mate- Catcher (Horseplace Kittypet)

Children- Speckledkit, Mistkit, Spotkit, Featherkit

Background-

Not born in any clan, Spottedshadow found Nightpool as a kit in WindClan territory after her mother died on the thunderpath.  Nightpool was accepted into the clan fairly quickly, Hazelstar was well-known letting rouges kits become part of the clan.  Spottedshadow mentored Nightpool and the two remained close after she become a warrior.  Spottedshadow was also the only one to know that Nightpool’s kits were fathered by a horseplace kittypet named Catcher, and Nightpool was grateful to her old mentor for not only keeping it secret, but approving the union.

Goldenpelt-

Warrior of WindClan

Generation 6

Mentor- Blackpelt(Missingfoot) and Forestleaf

Mentored- Timberleg, Apprentices of DarkClan

Background-

Loyal to his clan, a strong fighter, and a quick mind, Goldenpelt was a heavy influence in WindClan even as a warrior.  He used his cunning to make friends in the other clans and find out clan’s secrets, as well as WindClan’s.  Goldenpelt was passionate about finding secrets, and was told by everyone that he was meant for greatness.  Especially Forestleaf saw great potential in him and gave him many duties within the clan to make him a hard worker.

Goldenpelt would have been completely happy with his life in WindClan, if it weren’t for Spottedshadow.  He couldn’t throw away his kithood affections for the she-cat, and even when Spottedshadow made it clear that she wanted nothing more to do with him, Goldenpelt couldn’t help but keep persisting.  He didn’t understand how they had gone from being so close to her hating him.  The only source he could find to blame was the ShadowClan tom Spottedshadow admired; Wildfur.  Things only seemed to get worse and worse between the two until they both started mentoring for the first time.  Goldenpelt’s apprentice, Timberpaw, seemed to fix some of the damage in their relationship somehow, and communicated what the other couldn’t bring themselves to say to the other.

Although nothing really got better, the two started spending time together again.  Goldenpelt was hopeful that one day it would all work out, even if the clan ridiculed him for his efforts behind his back.  After Timberleg became a warrior however, Goldenpelt caught Spottedshadow sneaking to a Gathering to talk to Wildfur when she had been told to stay at camp.  Spottedshadow and Goldenpelt started arguing loudly near the lake, and Spottedshadow’s friend from ThunderClan, Dawnmist, overheard the fighting and came to her friend’s aid.  Dawnmist threatened to attack Goldenpelt if he didn’t back down, thinking that Goldenpelt was going to hurt Spottedshadow.  Goldenpelt left the Gathering early and knew that all the progress they had made was now gone.

When Hazelstar and Forestleaf suddenly died, Goldenpelt was sure that StarClan meant to make him WindClan’s next leader.  He was ready to sacrifice everything for his clans to save them from the new threat, and get WindClan’s strength back after the long, lacking rule of Hazelstar.  When Spottedstar came back as leader, Goldenpelt couldn’t accept it.  He knew Spottedstar and all her weaknesses and knew that she couldn’t lead WindClan as well as he could.  He was determined that this was StarClan’s last test for him before he would be given nine lives.  He had to truly give up on Spottedstar and convince the clan he should be leader.  The second part was easy, most of the clan agreed with him.  The first part was the hard part.  Although Goldenpelt had no end of hatred for what all Spottedstar had taken from him, he couldn’t stop hoping that one day she would come around.  Goldenpelt’s underlings constantly wanted him to take his position by force, but Goldenpelt absolutely refused.  Unbeknownst to Spottedstar, he stopped many of his clanmates from attacking her outright.  He couldn’t stop them however when he and Spottedstar left to find SkyClan with the other clan cats.

Once they returned, Goldenpelt saw that all the cats who loyally followed him were gone.  He was banished along with them because the clan believed he conspired with them.  Knowing he couldn’t convince them otherwise, Goldenpelt left without a word.

He found the other members of his old clan soon after and saw that they had already starting to build numbers for his cause.  Goldenpelt was greeted like a god to this band of rogues and outcasts.  Blown away by the dedication of these cats, he knew he had to take what StarClan had given him and finally accepted that in order to get where he should be as WindClan’s leader, he would have to kill Spottedstar.  StarClan had given him a dark road to walk toward, and thus he named the clan that would help him achieve that goal: DarkClan.

I love hearing about Goldy-kins. He has feelings just like everyone else. I see him a lot from Dawnstar's point of view: a cold, malicious killer, but I imagine it was hard for him to accept his dark 'duties' as he was actually a really good warrior. Kinda sad that he will go down in our history as a scary tale for bad kits.

I can't wait to see what happens when Spotty's secret comes out. I think Dawnstar is right, maybe it would have been better if they had never led clans lol

Great head shots too! I love the expressions, as always. You have gotten so good at it

Yeah, I think that's what makes the whole situation so interesting.  I also like to think that StarClan originally wanted Goldenpelt and Spottedstar to lead side by side, but both of them just kind of screwed it up along the way.  Both of them were capable of being great leaders, but without the other one on their side they make bad decisions.  I don't think things would have become better right away with Goldenpelt leading either.  His jealously over Spotty, and demand of his own followers would have made him bring war out on other clans like ShadowClan and ThunderClan constantly.   With the threat of Rainstar there as well, Goldenpelt wouldn't cooperate with the other clans bring peace to RiverClan either.  WindClan would still be on the verge of civil war because of the more peaceful-minded warriors would not approve of all the fighting, and Spottedstar may have found herself in the same position that Goldenpelt was in.

It was a no-win situation. haha

Yeah, the complexities of their relationship was one of my favorite parts and hearing Goldenpelt's motives gives him a bit more depth and makes him seem reasonable. Maybe Mistysnow knew that it was a no-win situation and she chose the more peaceful route. It seems like that decision brought about more good things even if a lot was bad as well. RiverClan's liberation for one. If Goldenpelt was to become leader though, I think Dawnstar would have refused leadership because she wouldn't want to call shots against her friend; she felt at ease when it was Spotty at her side in alliance. Leadership was pushed on them both so fast that they seemed to need each other.

Dawnstar and Spottedstar make a good team when they fight for the same cause.  When they aren't however, the shit tends to hit the fan. haha
