#004 in my 100 Themes Challenge - Sad

Still going strong with my 100 Themes challenge! For this one I chose to draw the Italy brothers Feliciano and Lovino Vargas. I think, despite their attitudes they show to the world, they're both terribly sad and lonely. Lovino grew up unwanted, even by Spain at first- everyone pushed him away in favor of his younger brother, including his Grandpa who raised him. He always puts on this angry and aggressive front, but inside he's hurting. Then Feliciano, regardless of his typical ditzy and derpy attitude, spent his entire life waiting for a boy who would never return. His first and only love left him with nothing but an empty promise and pain, and Italy's had to continue through the centuries carrying that weight on his shoulders. Both brothers have to put up with being called "useless" and "weak", often straight to their face, with little concern for their feelings.

So it didn't take me much thought to decide to draw these two for the theme of "Sad". And this is one of my best attempts at drawing the Italies, like, ever, so I'm really proud of it ^^

Buuut, enough rambling for now~ I just hope you all enjoy the fruits of my labor!
