Actually, I recently learned that in Resident Evil 1.5 Annette survives! And it's a good thing too, because she wasn't in anybody's way! in fact, I think she was downright helpful to the other survivors!

That is such a sad picture, but then again, their story is a very sad one.

Annette looks so very beautiful and Sherry so adorable though sad. And I like that Annette still manages to look strong and hopeful, like she is in the game!

I originally wanted to do a "Birkins" picture with William Sherry and Annie... but I thought that Will's absence would make for a more appropriate portrait of their family.

I think the picture shows, what it would be like when Annette and Sherry meet, after Will's infected and the city is going down. I always wished for at least Annette and Sherry to survive this. I mean as lovely as it may be to have an alive William, he's doomed no matter what.

William is definitely a doomed character. I used to play him in alternate universe where both him and Annie survived and in the end we came to the conclusion that it would have been best for Sherry if William actually died.

It is! I didn't have any feelings one way or another towards the Birkins until DSC. The scene where Leon tells Sherry Annette was the one who gave Sherry the cure and Sherry denies Annette ever loved her made me cry!

This is a most definitely amazing piece! Full of emotion, tenderness, and sorrow that hints at current or future failure. If the canon ending has Sherry infected, then Annette tearfully gives Claire the cure before being crazy-stabbed by her mutant husband. I always liked that one better than the endings she gets the other times - there was something redeeming in her final acts.

Of course my own twisted comment now makes me want to sneak a secret Code: Birkin joke into the RE RPG I'm running for



Let's just say the code is BIRKIN and it opens up a freezer containing his secret stash of Sherry clones and some notes explaining that he and Annette try to be good parents but, gosh darnit, when you work all day and night creating horrid viral mutants for the world's most even pharmaceuticals company there tend to be ... incidents. Then you're happy you've got some spares lying around.

Ahem. I'm thinking if I drew it something like this that would seem somewhat less horrible <3<
