The hair is the first thing my eye notices in this drawing. But it serves to lead my eye around the drawing in a graceful manner. Since her hair starts at her head, my eye first goes to the hair on her head and sees the face. But as the hair flows my eye is drawn to the rest of the body too. Repeating the hair's color on her skirt helps to emphasize the continuity in the drawing. Then, the color of her shirt, that is repeated in her high socks brings the viewers eyes from the shirt down to the lower part of her body. Since the hairs color is both pink and blue this emphasizes both aspects. The blue emphasizes the shirt,eyes, socks and shirt sleeves sleeves. The Pink emphasizes her hair and skirt. The white bands in the socks draw the readers eyes to the white on her sleeves and shirt. What inspired you to choose the colors you choose in this drawing?
