Oh no, Tei's discovered FIre Emblem!
Haha, so ~XjapanloverX introduced me to Fire Emblem sometime in September, and I've fallen in love with several characters from several games. This here is Naesala and Leanne from Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn, for those of you (read: most of my watchers) who haven't heard of any of this before. Google it if you're that confused. ~XjapanloverX also introduced me to Altaria, and my love of symphonic metal has been revived.
So, sometime between school being a black hole and me avoiding writing a research paper, this happened. This was done to a very eclectic mix of music (including Altaria, Emilie Autumn, Seether, Shinedown, and Repo! The Genetic Opera). Title taken from the first Altaria song I heard--Unchain the Rain. Youtube that one too while you're at it.
Overall took 7 hours 15 minutes *faint* I used a slightly different coloring style than usual (lots more brush and lots less paint bucket) and i'm quite pleased with the result.

It is true that Naesala is in love with Leanne, and that is the only pairing that Naesala can get, lucky for him it's also the only pairing Leanne can get as well.

That's the way I re-learned it, staring at the official art for entirely too long...unfortunately I'm not quite out of the habit of drawing them my old, less-pretty way yet

I remember Naesala as someone you mistook Gyendal for. I've been hearing about Fire Emblem forever, but this one looks particularly interesting. Is that a PC game?

Some race you don't know. They're a race called laguz--animal-people, if you will. the girl is a Heron laguz (she can shapeshift into a white heron) and the guy is a Raven laguz (can shapeshift into a raven).
Mistake Gyendal for? not really mistake...more of suddenly notice the similarity between XD These two are from Fire Emblems 9 and 10--Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, respectively, for the Gamecube and Wii, respectively. They get nowhere near enough screentime, but I adore them anyways. probably my #1 pairing.
I haven't been on Amaranthia in forever. I thought about uploading this there, but never got around to it.

Only similar when Gyendal combs back his hair in a Te'ijal-like do and he's wearing his Demon-Realm-military-uniform-thingy (fanon universe junk yay). Makes me realize how much I fail at drawing Gyendal's hair properly. It's supposed to be half spiked up like Te'ijal, not just combed back like... well, like Naesala.

You can pretty much name any bird laguz and it'll be one I adore. The only one I can think of who I don't flat-out love is Ulki, but he's awesome too--just extraordinarily quiet XD
But I think that Naesala and the Herons are probably my absolute favorites. ^_^

After all this time, I'm still not quite sure exactly what "OTP" means (or if it's like OTL and meant to look like something), but I've figured out, at least, that it's a pairing that one ships very fondly. Yeah, these two are probably my OTP as well XD (can you have more than one?
