FULL VIEW THIS PLEASE!!! T__To__o...-takes a deep breath- I cant...beleive..."I" am even capable of makeing something like this. I'm literaly blown away by my own creation. I think this may be one of the best things I've ever created in my life...
Well...I drew this on my sketch book of magical-ness, scanned it, colored it in photoshop and well I cant beleive it. I worked on this for so many hours my ring finger and my pinkey finger are actually stuck in the shape of my mouse (They kinda hurt too...). This was my "first" time ever...useing photoshop. Hopefully I'll get better in the future.
The two characters in this picture are Alex and Sophia from an anime called Last exile for those of you who don't know. I made a few mistakes on the two characters unifoarm. Small mistakes that im sure none of you will notice. Like...how I gave sophia's unifoarm too many bars on her collar. She should have only had two not three...and how I messed up Alex's holster strap...it looks more like a suspender. The shadeing looks a bit awkward in some places...like i didnt define where my light sorce is but it looks pretty good anyways.
Please tell me what you think of this. I'm still trying to get over the shock. I really cant beleive I made this. o__o Like I said "First time ever" useing photoshop. o__o I really don't know if i did a bad or a good job on this im in such disbeleif right now. Now if you'll excuse me...I think I'm going to go rest my hand and take a long nap.

Congratulations are in order. ^.^ (I know I still have MY first Photoshop drawing from 6 years ago somewhere - it was downright ugly, I'm sure 
I'll tell you what I like first. You got all the lines nice and evenly dark. You got a lot of the uniform details down (thank goodness the Sylvana has such simple symbols on their sleeves, eh? ^^) Something about Sophia's face/expression really works too (that is, I can get a really strong sense of her mood). The background works too - very aggressive, very rusty - very much LE. ^^
Okay... on with the critique ~ the first thing that really struck me as off was the entire design pattern on Sophia's waste- it's way too crooked- it should be closer to the edge, less titled, and a bit skinner to match the curvature of her figure. The shading is a bit misguided- agaaain, I have to pick on Sophia-san 
I won't ask you to research LE character sheets because it's pretty obvious you had to study a few of those (good job; I commend you for that). ^^ In faaact, you actually made Sophia's collar more accurate than you think(!)
All in all, good first attempt. I know what you mean about your fingers hurting. You should start saving money now to buy a tablet (it may or may not improve your Photoshop'ing, but at least it'll take the pain off your hand for good). At least you're still young, you can afford to give yourself a few cramps still...... ;รพ

still freaking good for your first time in photoshop. well done. a tip for photoshop, create may layers.... i'm still working out the kinks in my method, but it definitely makes it easier.

May layers? I still know very little about photoshop. I did figure out basic layers in like 15 minutes though. o__o I didnt have to look at any tutorials. I just did what i thought was correct. xD I'll play around with photoshop alittle more later today. I'm still figureing out the program.

...ok. take your time. find some tutorials online, and view them if you can (if you have dial up, its going to take you a while.) photoshop can be over whelming to a beginner, but you'll get the hang of it. hell, i've been using photoshop for almost two years and i'm still finding out what i can do with it.

:3 Don't worry...I'm a very patient person. In school today I was trying to think up methods that might work to color thigns easyer. I think i may have figured something out. n__n; I'll test it out on the next thing i draw. Hopefully I'll have an insparation explosion soon...because im starting to get tired of drawing again. o__o You see...I'm the type of person that will think about...how something works and try to think of a solution. Until I find a solution that im confortable with I could go on for days just sitting there spaceing out. I do this alot...my mom allways thinks somethings wrong with me. xD It's kinda funny...I've lived with her long enough she should know how I act.
