New personal piece.Really enjoyed the detailing phase of this one, adding little details even this morning (I started this one yesterday)
I'm a little gutted I didn't stick to my usual aspect ratio, but nevermind, we all have our little regrets

I like this one. It has a sense of atmosphere about it and it has good visual direction, draws the eye from left to right in a very good way.
Shame those bloody birds are back.

Thanks man, glad you like it; I'm not terribly happy with the 'finish' of it, but I do like the atmosphere colours shapes and composition.
I only put those birds in there to piss you off lolol

I will say it does feel a little cramped in. As if you were restricted to the space you had there, could benefit from a little more widescreen. Also, to me, those mid ground rocks (infront of the camels, behind the sentry) look a little out. I think its the lighting, they look a little flat.
Yeah, those birds... I mean... cmon they could at least be some kind of alien birds. Maybe one giant bird with crazy dinosaur-like tails and stuff. The sky doesnt need them in this piece.

Yeah I lopped off the right side halfway through and now really regret it, as you say it feels a little too cramped... nvm. As for the rocks, thanks for pointing that out, I had that in mind when doing the pic I've just submitted, lemme know what you think... but don't mention the birds!!
