I think you did a great job with this piece.
The composition is very interesting. You managed to bring very different shapes together, and combine them with texture and colors. I'm happy that you decided to keep the rainbow colors inside that wheel, because I think it would've been too much if there would be too many colors all over the piece.
One thing I absolutely love is the use of negative space. I saw that in some comments you were worried about the top part being too empty, but I think it's perfect like that--it kind of gives the piece a mystic aspect, wondering what's hiding in the darkness e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
There are a few parts I'm not too crazy about, like the spiral in the middle and some sparkly parts, which take away from the minimalism I see in this piece, but overall I think this is a wonderful work of abstract art e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="

Hehe the sparkly bits are stars x) I guess it's showing up too dark for you? I think my monitor at home must be too bright or something... Do you see the area above the shape as pure black? Or do you see the dark nebulae?

Ah, I must've been too fascinated by all details to notice that... My monitor is indeed quite dark, and even with the brightest setting I can barely see the dark blue nebulae (which I didn't know were nebulae until you pointed it out 
I guess I didn't think of this in a Space aspect, but more in an abstract way 
I hope you managed to get something out of my critique even though I (apparently) wasn't very observant when writing it!

Just one more, I couldn't resist. This is fantastic.
This is really my favorite one I've critiqued for you so far. The coloring, the amount of detail preserved, the composition and idea - it's just flawless, and deserves more attention.
However, there are some problems with how it was executed that reduces the impact of it. I really think that, as you asked someone in the comments, that the top composition is too empty. A square composition would make the effort you put into this more visible.
Maybe bust out the old source files and make a square one, then re-release as a wallpaper pack - not only for PC, but for iPhone, iPad, etc, with the design larger and more 'there.' It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's hard to see.

The reason I've left the space at the top is so the "tail" can fade away into it, and to help lead the viewers eye down. I will certainly consider what you've said about the wallpaper pack! I feel perhaps it is a little small though, due to the resource files being low-resolution too.

There is a lot about it that I love, and it's definitely not too dark!
The only thing I changed in my screenshot is that I slightly (very slightly) desaturated it in GIMP.
I love the geometry and I love the space/stars seen in the background , two of my favorite things meshed into one image, Geometry and Space! lol
The colors are also lovely. I would love to see more images/wallpapers like this, but I feel like images like this are hard to find/rare. lol
I can't think of anything that I dislike about it, at all.
