Only if he grew up to look like that. We have so many versions of him in his teens/adult years, all of which seem to be canon.

Oh, absolutely. I simply can't get enough of her!
But I believe it was Timmy who has the notion that he never wanted to be enemies with her in the first place. That's why whenever they do get along he tends to sap it for all its worth. Again, the show portrays him as the forgiving type... usually.

I can't stand her.
They hugged once. Big deal. She's tried to kill him, like, every time she babysits! He may be the frogiving type for most people, but not her.

I will have to disagree with you. Timmy has had the means and the drive to do away with her and suffer no consequences for a long time now, but his morals and will are too indomitable for such petty actions. Oh, and they have gotten along harmoniously on more than just one occasion. It is my strong belief that theirs is a relationship that only requires time and understanding to flourish. Not necessarily in a romantic sense, that is just me and a few of my brood's fanciful imaginations expounding out of reverent possibility, but rather one of friendship and appreciation.

Maybe if her wished her nice again. Other than that, I don't see it happening. Need I remind you of the TV traveling incident? She not only tried to kill him, but get him in trouble with his parents as well.

You can't? I think you are still only seeing the snid-bits at face value rather than opening your mind to all points of view, especially the nature of the human creature. Perhaps to see what I have seen you need to revisit their interactions with unclouded eyes, for theirs is one of the most unique relationship between characters I have ever beheld.
I take into consideration all of what transpires in the broadcast material AND the comics (which shows insight pertaining to her more than the TV series does,) and I stand firm in my resolve still. No matter the tyrannous scale of their clashes, they as people always have the ability to come to terms before the day is done. This alone more than serves as a sound foundation for my fan base's banner, but there is so much more to it than just that.
Another of my favorite details about their link is her obsession with the boy. For starters, she spends more time with him than any other person she knows, including Tootie (which in the comic series she acts as the loving older sister still.) She is both frustrated and surprised that he seemingly has a cunning to match her own, and can always manage to wiggle out of her devices. More than once she has contemplated corrupting his mind and taking him under her wing, but her lone wolf nature tends to win out.
Going back to the animated series, her fascination is not illustrated as brightly. You actually have to read between the lines and see it from a psychological stand point. One of my most wielded examples is in the Diary-uh! episode, in which about ninety percent of her diary's contents is about Timmy.
These cases don't prove love by a long shot, but definitely something much more powerful than some savage base hatred.
For what its worth, I don't want you to give up on your favorite pairings, that would be absolutely ugly. I'm just trying to show you that as far as Timmy and Vicky are concerned, things are more than what they seem.

...it's just a cartoon. Vicky is supposed to be evil, and Timmy is supposed to hate her. No offense, but you're thinking way too much about this.

tearatone In reply to charliehypno [2009-03-02 01:39:26 +0000 UTC]
And as always they revert back to the "its just a cartoon" phrase when they can't come up with something better.
I'm sorry, but just as a novelists looks deep into stories, and just as a painter finds inspiration in the master works, so does a cartoonist find pinions of majesty in cartoons.
I bid you good day and to take care of yourself.
