Unique Traits: Sable's gold eyes and the highlight in his hair are side effects of his semblance. His hair used to be one uniform color and his eyes were previously dark brown.

Backstory
His mom was a huntress who went to Beacon. She wasn't the best combatant but she was a brilliant weapon smith, the "repairman" of her team if you will. Eventually she met Sable's father who had inherited an armor and weapon repair shop from his own father and they got married and she quit her occupation as a huntress and decided to run the shop with Sable's father (mainly because she realized being a huntress wasn't for her due to her poor combat skills and because she wanted to start a family). Skipping ahead to four years before Sable went to Beacon, one night, Sable and his family were coming from their shop while it was unknown to them that they were being followed by two White Fang members. After they arrived home, the two Faunus burst into their home and robbed them at gunpoint (Sable had Helios Flamme, his gauntlet that he had built, but was far too afraid to use it at the time. It didn't have it's flamethrower function at that time either) and so thus Sable grew to distrust the Faunus as a whole (he doesn't hate them, he just has a slight prejudice). After that incident, Sable had enrolled in Signal Academy for the first time so that same incident wouldn't be repeated, as he wanted to protect his loved ones. So, he spent the next four years training very intensely and by the time he was at his fourth year at the combat school he had become almost as skilled as Pyrrha was at her school, however his parents didn't know he had become that skilled in combat and so thus they were worried when he wanted to apply to Beacon. He ended up getting accepted (obviously). Shortly before enrolling in Signal, he added the flamethrower function onto Helios Flamme, so he's still learning it's full potential even after four years of training.

Personality
Due to the incident that happened four years ago, Sable has had a burning desire to protect everyone close to him that blazes as hot as the sun itself, despite the fact that his easygoing personality doesn't necessarily show it. He's a great tactician due partly to his mother and his older cousin, Umber, whom he hung out with as a kid.
He refuses to back down from a fight, and can be stubborn in that respect. He tends to talk during fights slinging around one-liners whilst fighting and even though he has an easygoing personality, like a light switch, he tends to go from polite, dorky and witty to frightening and sarcastic towards his enemies during fights. This radical change is quite a sight to see and scares his teammates at times.
He loves spicy foods and singing, however, since he can't draw very well, he's taking lessons from his cousin Umber

Semblance
Radiant Redirection--
Sable has the ability to absorb all forms of natural light-- mainly sunlight and the light produced by fire, however he has the ability to absorb other forms of natural light including moonlight, albeit a little slowly though. This light-absorbing semblance gives him an extra ability-- he can turn this absorbed light into hard light and make it offensive rather than just harmless light.
One example is one of his most basic abilities and that's releasing it in large bursts. By doing this, he can create an intense flare that blinds his foes. He also uses this in quite a unique way-- by releasing it through his emblem on the back of his armor, it makes a sort of rocket propulsion and allows him to "fly" (although he isn't really flying and this can use up his aura if used for too long).
He can also combine his semblance with his aura, letting him form an offensive aura around his hands, that adds on to the concussive force of his punches allowing him to make shockwaves of light with a fairly large area of effect when slamming his fists into the ground.
A couple other things is he can detonate dust from up to 20 feet away using a laser-like light beam, however, this requires precision and concentration on his part, as its a focused laser beam that can easily miss; he can also make someone spontaneously combust using this method as well, but for some unexplained reason the flames that are produced are gold-white rather than typical fire.

Weapon
Helios Flamme--
Helios Flamme is a SGFC (Singular Gauntlet-Flamethrower Combo). He wears it on his left arm.
The gauntlet itself grants Sable great concussive force in his punches, however, when combined with his semblance using his light aura, this can amplify them to devastating power-- even further when used in conjunction with its flamethrower function
Helios Flamme's flamethrower uses Burn Dust that is loaded into the base in powdered form which is ignited by Sable channeling his semblance or aura through the weapon. The nozzle of it has a swiveling capability. By swiveling the head backwards, he can use the recoil to put more force into his punches or use it with his semblance to allow him to change direction while in "flight". When it's night, he can use the fire from Helios Flamme to charge himself up with light energy when no other natural light is present or when he needs to charge fast (as moonlight charges him VERY slowly. Though when at full capacity with absorbed moonlight, all of Sable's semblance-based moves become significantly more powerful than with sunlight. However, the charge time is too impractical to use in most cases).
He also uses it in classic flamethrower fashion releasing pulses or large blasts of fire.

Fighting Style
Sable is surprisingly agile and acrobatic despite his armor and his size. He typically utilizes flips and acrobatic movements and when paired with the rocket booster-like effect his semblance can provide him, he can prove to be a very difficult opponent.

Trivia
The reason he's able to channel his semblance through the emblem on his back is because the emblem is the only piece of his armor that's actually made of gold.
For an unexplained reason, the only solid object his semblance can penetrate (when it's not being used offensively) is gold. It's believed that it's due to the way gold's element composition interacts with his light based semblance.
