Two rookie Book Runners come to a halt in a nick of time, saving the books from the dangerous hands of the waters.

Aughhhh this took forever but I love it to bits <3
I've had this concept in mind for a long time, and its book runners: A team of two or more individuals who help transport books from libraries to libraries or to bookstores. Alas, the travels are treacherous, they would have to worry about many fundamentals.... and here these rookies display some amateur equipment to transport the books.
Another concept I had in mind was the forest with flooded waters... This is one forest like that, and during fall- winter the water is absent.

The problem with not being on in a long time, and then just taking the easy way out and deleting all my messages, is that I end up missing gems like this. You know, in the time I've watched you, you've really improved greatly in your artwork, it makes me kinda jealous. XD I absolutely love everything about this picture. I just love the concept, with those two trying to safely get the books they're transporting across the water. The coloring job is amazing, both on the characters and in the background. In fact this reminds me of an anime movie screenshot, it's just beautiful.

And the lighting and colouring and everything is so awesome ;w; I love how you can tell that it's a clearing above the lake~
Also the little details like the mud-flicks and the stray feathers really bring it to life :'D

Fantastic! I always wonder why it takes so friggin long for my library books I ordered to get to our library; now I will amuse myself by picturing these two and their transferring issues. XD

53 LAYERS OH GOD
I have an intense hate of painting with so many layers
I am a one/two layer person
This is amazing, Kai
The only crits I have are that I'm confused as to what he's doing with his legs; The farther hind leg also seems to be less bulky than the hind leg nearer to us.

I think I tried to make it so his other hind leg was sticking farther away from the view point (like, his legs are more spread apart as if coming to an abrupt stop) Another thing I tried to make it look like was him slipping off the hill-
but I can see how strange it looks XD
