I've been trying to work on doing more sketches lately just to buff up my DA and have more things on here. Plus it's great practice!Sora and Tai belong to the Digimon people

It's not canon and anyone who says otherwise is in serious denial seeing as the creator himself doesn't approve of the pairing and even said the portrayal in the movie was wrong (and was written by someone else). HOWEVER, having said that, I do find the pairing appealing and in the end I would've been just as happy with Sora choosing Tai.

The thing that peeves me more then anything else is when people try to justify it by saying how "close" they were as kids and how Sora has known Tai longer and has more in common with him. Just because you're childhood friends with someone and you have a connection with them does not mean it's a romantic connection. I think that by making it romantic in Canon storyline is over simplifying Tai and Sora's relationship. In the canon storyline I think that the connection Tai and Sora share is a very deep one that may even be stronger then a romantic connection. It just kind of bothers me because it's almost as though in every fandom a female character can't have a male best friend without people romanticizing it (then again same sometimes go for two male friends *cough Taito Cough*). I've always enjoyed the fact that Sora has a male best friend but also has that boy that she has a crush on, it seemed more realistic and for once the main male and main female didn't end up together/have seriously distracting romantic tension.
Still though I am a bit of an omni-shipper and I just ship everyone with everyone just for shits and giggles(other than incest and Matt/mimi) so really the only REAL problem I have with this pairing (and any non canon pairing) is the fanbase and how intense and agresive they can be about their ships. Just becuase Sora chose Matt doesn't mean you need to go around to all the Sorato art, fanfic, etc posting comments as to why Matt is a douche and how evil and dumb Sora is for not picking the guy you liked better.
I have so many more thoughts but I shall spare your soul lol
