My apologies again about the formatting. Fluff-wise, I'm not sure where this fits in, other than that it's pretty generically Great House material. It moves fast and bites hard and carries a good bit of armor for a hovertank to boot, as well as making a good artillery spotter.

Excellent model. You should, if you have the time, invest in learning how to use Headus UV Mapper. It stretches your UVs out for you, basically while allowing you to choose some sensible order to it. Cuts UV mapping time down to at least 1/50th of what you would have done. In fact, You can mess up your UVs six times over - having completely finished but realized a mistake each time - and do it over in one day. I did this with a 4000 poly model just recently.

It's a series of David Drake novels and short stories about a far-future mercenary tank regiment called "Hammer's Slammers."

Just wanna blurt this out. Minutes ago I didn't know that the girl sitting right next to me here inside the internet cafe was none other than my nemesis girlfriend. She knows I had a thing for here in the past. Her boyfriend and I became enemies.
She's gone now with her boyfriend a minute ago. ^_^

I like that! A lot! And as i'm drawing tank designs again, i'm going to pinch the guns, if that's okay with you.

that's kickass. I'd love to see it in an action-ish render
are the main cannons energy or ballistic based?

well I thought of a Gauss Cannon really. Actual railguns require one rail in each side to actually be a rail gun, but a gauss cannon fits the design well

I see that. But I found it worth noting because it's a very common misconception. Besides, both concepts have the same purpose - a magnetism-propelled cannon with an overall muzzle velocity quite higher than explosion-propelled ones

hey looks awesome. Nice detailing and overall design. Much less geometric, which is good since that's how it would be IRL.
good to see art from you, keep it up!
